Understanding your daily operations to pinpoint where digital adds value

Before discussing tools and technology, we always start with your reality: how your teams work, where time is lost, where errors occur, and how information flows. The goal of a business analysis is not to digitize for the sake of it, but to identify concrete applications where digital can improve your daily tasks.

Methodology

‍

We start broad: an initial discussion where you present your overall business. From there, we jointly define two or three specific tasks that warrant deeper investigation, areas where digital could truly enhance your company's performance.

Once these tasks are identified, we thoroughly analyze the associated processes: who is involved at what stage, what tools are used, where the pain points are, etc.

‍

Once the processes are clarified and mapped out, we can then formulate concrete recommendations for improvement. Specifically, this could involve automating a repetitive task, speeding up a step, making a control more reliable, or making information easier to retrieve.

The result takes the form of a clear and prioritized report, which takes into account your constraints (budget, security, languages, existing tools). It serves as a basis for deciding which projects to prioritize.

Example

‍

During a business analysis at a law firm, we observed that they received a large volume of paper documents and spent a lot of time sorting, processing, and archiving them. We described the current process, highlighted time losses and sources of error, then proposed a more streamlined method for analyzing and directing documents so they reach the right place faster.

‍

During the closing meeting, we presented our observations and recommendations, which we refined in real-time with the client. The client then approved moving forward, opening up phase 2 of the project: Automation & Implementation.
